The 2.5mm Stereo Plug is a type of standard connector. Its design is the same as the 3.5mm connector except that the 2.5mm plug has a smaller size. It also supports stereo sounds. 2.5mm is the smallest size available today for stereo connectors. Before 3.5mm plugs came out, the 2.5mm stereo plug was used to connect headphones and headsets to phones, CD players, and other units.
